Magna Carta was the first document forced onto an English King by a group of his subjects, the feudal barons, in an attempt to limit his powers by law and protect their privileges.

The think was that John I fought for land against France, he needed a lot of money to batle, he decided to tax lords and nobles, so they reveled and forced him to sign the Carta Magna.
